Privacy notice
Frasco is built to keep as little as possible. Here is what we store and why, in plain language. The Spanish notice at /privacidad is the same policy.
Who is responsible
Frasco is a project by Pablo, in México. For any question or request about your data, write us at /en/contact and pick “Privacy.”
What we store
- What you write: your name or nickname, the jar's name, and its ideas, plus the history of decisions.
- Your PIN, hashed: stored as an HMAC. Nobody can read it, including us.
- Sessions: a cookie so your phone stays in the jar.
- A random device id (cookie) so we can count how many phones use Frasco, and the device type.
- An approximate city, inferred by our provider (Cloudflare) from the connection. We never ask for your location and we don't use GPS.
- How the app is used, and where you came from: PostHog measures which screens get used and what breaks, and may record usage sessions to find bugs. When a jar is created we store whether it arrived from a search engine, an AI assistant, another site, or a Frasco guide. We store the referring domain and the guide, not the full URL. We don't ask for email or a phone number to use the app.
Why
- So the jar works: saving ideas, drawing, syncing between phones.
- To improve the app and catch errors.
- To sometimes show a sponsored suggestion from your city. It always says “Sponsored.”
Artificial intelligence
The muse suggests ideas with AI models through OpenRouter, using providers that don't store the prompt or train on it. We send the muse your names, the category, the day, and a short mood of the jar. Never the list of ideas. Never the surprises. To guess whether an idea is cheap or a night plan, its text goes through a model under the same rules.
Who else sees it
We don't sell data. Period. The only processors are the ones that run Frasco: Cloudflare (servers and database), OpenRouter and its AI providers, and PostHog (analytics). Businesses that advertise only receive aggregate numbers (how many jars, saves, and decisions, by city), never names or ideas.
How long, and how to delete it
The data lives while the jar exists. If you leave the jar (Settings → “Leave the jar”), your unrevealed surprises are deleted with you. If the last person leaves, the whole jar is deleted. If you want something else deleted, or you want to access, correct, or object to what we hold, write us at /en/contact.
Changes
If we change something important, we update it here with a date.
